The Levelled Literacy Program, or LLI, is designed to assist students to improve in literacy.
Students receive intensive, small group instruction primarily in reading but writing and spelling are also targeted. A variety of fiction and non-fiction texts are read at an appropriate level for students and they are given copies to reread and practice with during independent reading time in class.
LLI lessons are supplementary to the literacy instruction students receive in the classroom and there is regular communication with the class teacher to discuss individual goals and progress.
The LLI program has proven to be very successful for our students, helping to improve both confidence and skills in literacy.
